How to Increase Your Wifi Speed

A quick and simple trick that will help you gain back your Wifi speed to match your internet subscription plan. You can be frustrated when you discover your wifi speed is below your expectation. Well, by switching to a top rated router with great signal transmitter then you can at least acquire the speed you wish. Anyway, beside getting a good router to obtain the speed you desire, you can also make some changes on your router Network setting by going to your router default gateway IP address.

2. If you have any devices that run Android platform, great! you can go to Google Playstore and download the  Wifi Analyzer app.

3. When you open the app on your device it will start at the main default page. Now swipe to the channel page that you'll need to enter your Wifi Network (2.4GHz or 5GHz) bands and you'll see all the available channels with the rating below. On top of these channels, Wifi analyzer helps you determine the best channels for your router. Channels 1,6,11 are least used which give you better signal strength.

4. Power on your PC with your modem and router connected to your desktop.
Look at your router with a descriptive label on the bottom or the back of your router to find the Gateway IP address and the user name & password.

5. Go to your PC and open browser (Google Chrome or Internet Explore). On the Url address bar type in the router Gateway IP address to bring you over to your router login page. User name and password require to access the router network page. Type in the exact requirement from the router description and login. If you change your user name and password for your router you need to use whichever one you changed.

6. When you successfully login, go to the setup tap or the wireless settings.

7. Now, you scroll down to the bottom page and choose the manual wireless network setup button.

8. On this page you can change your wireless channels for your Wifi Network. Consider Wi-Fi Analyzer's recommend channel, switch your router to that channel and click save.

9. To test the speed you can type in Speedtest by open a new tap on the browser. If you see improvement with the recommended channel on your network setting, then stick with it and that's how you achive your improve Wifi speed connection.
